Dear Southview Middle School Families,

 

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I hope you had a restful and enjoyable summer and are as excited as I am to begin this new school year. Whether you are a returning family or new to our school community, I am thrilled to welcome you to what promises to be an incredible year of learning, growth, and discovery.

Southview Middle School is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated team of educators is here to inspire, challenge, and support your child every step of the way.

This year, we are excited to continue our STEAM initiatives designed to enhance the educational experience for all our students. These include PLTW- Project Lead the Way, a science and technology-based course, Choir, Band, Art, and Dance!  We believe these opportunities will help our students develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in middle school and beyond.

To help ensure a smooth start to the school year, here are a few important reminders:

• First Day of School: August 26th for 6th grade only and August 27th for all grades. Please ensure your child arrives by 8:50 a.m.

• School Hours: 8:50 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Please note the arrival and dismissal procedures to ensure the safety of all students.

• Free School Supplies: Have been distributed to teachers and if they require students to bring special items, they will communicate that via syllabus.

• Parent-Teacher Communication: We value your partnership and encourage you to stay in touch with your child’s teachers throughout the year. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. 

As we embark on this new school year together, I want to emphasize the importance of communication and collaboration. We are a team, and by working together, we can ensure that every student at Southview Middle School has a successful and rewarding year.
